报告摘要:The ability to monitor analytes within physiological, environmental and industrial scenarios is of prime importance. Given that recognition events occur on a molecular level, gathering and processing the information poses a fundamental challenge. Therefore, robust chemical molecular sensors “chemosensors” with the capacity to detect chosen molecules selectively and signal this presence continue to attract considerable attention. This presentation will concentrate on fluorescent probes developed using boronic acids for diols, anions and reactive oxygen/nitrogen species (ROS/RNS). The aim of the research is to mimic nature’s level of sophistication in designing and producing chemosensors capable of determining the concentration (and location) of a target species including: saccharides, glycated proteins, anions and reactive oxygen/nitrogen species (ROS/RNS) in any medium.
James教授简介:
1964年出生于英国,现在英国巴斯大学任教,英国皇家化学会会士。1986年本科毕业于英国东英吉利大学,获得学士学位;1991年毕业于加拿大维多利亚大学,获得博士学位;随后于日本研发公司(JRDC)做博士后研究;1995-2000年,担任伯明翰大学英国皇家学会研究员,2000年受聘为巴斯大学Lecturer,2007年晋升Reader,2011年获教授称号。James教授的H因子为56,他在分子识别、荧光探针和超分子材料领域已发表超过236篇刊物,包括2本书籍,9篇章节和225篇论文(Nature;Nature子刊;Chem. Rev.; Chem. Soc. Rev.;JACS;Angew.等)。其中1篇论文被引超过600次,4篇超过300次,24篇超过100次,总引用超过10800次,平均每篇被引48次以上。同时发表国际专利25篇。
